I’m doing the Hope Half Hour this January.
Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with lung disease. Asthma + Lung UK is the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. The Asthma + Lung UK helpline gives on average half an hour of support to everyone who contacts them.
I’m doing the Hope Half Hour, walking half an hour every day in January, to make a difference. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.
Just £22 allows one of Asthma + Lung UK's nurses to answer a call on the Helpline, offering potentially lifesaving advice. I'd be very grateful for any donations you could make!

Asthma and costochondritis are awful 😖
Sunday 1st Jan Hiya, I have asthma, and I was recently diagnosed with costochondritis, though looking back I have had flares of it since my late teens.My niece has asthma and my father has COPD so lung complications are common in my family. Since I had severe covid in December 2020 my lungs have been a lot worse, though my inhalers keep any major issues at bay thankfully. There are so many people with worse lung conditions but for everyone it's about being able to breathe and feel well and able. I hope that however much I can raise will help someone, and just being able to raise a little more awareness about these things. For some breathing is not something they need to even think about for others it is a daily struggle. Xxx
