I’m running the London Marathon 2025 to fight for lung health!
For those who sponsored me last year (given that I initially planned to run in Apr'24), a big thank you (see images)! Your contribution has been deferred to 2025.
In April 2025 I will run the London marathon for Asthma + Lung UK: a UK based charity that fights for everyone's right to breathe. After running my first “big” marathon in New York City in 2017, I set myself the goal to run all 6 World Marathon Majors to collect the 6 stars medal. Having been unlucky in the London ballot for 5 subsequent years, I decided to enter while running for charity, for which I am grateful to have been offered a place for the TCS London Marathon.
This charity has a personal connection for me, as I have had asthmatic bronchitis since I was a young child. Being surrounded by my sisters and family with similar conditions, I am aware of the challenges asthma or any lung condition can pose on someone's life. I am one of the lucky ones whose asthma is controlled with daily medication, allowing me to participate in sports and having an active lifestyle.
I am however very much aware that this is not the case for everyone, and not everybody is able to run marathons. By running for Team breathe, I hope to be able to open doors for others as well.
Please support me and Asthma + Lung UK by donating on this page. Every Pound, Euro or Dollar I am able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs. I would be very grateful for any donations you could make! The target is to reach £2,000.
I run, they breathe!
