Charity places
What is a charity place?
Asthma + Lung UK have a number of places in the London Marathon 2025. People can apply for one of our charity places, and if their application is successful, run for us and raise money in the fight for lung health!
When is the London Marathon?
The London Marathon will take place on Sunday 27 April.
How much is the registration fee?
If your application is successful and you are offered one of our charity places, the registration fee to confirm your place is £85.
How much do I have to raise?
When you sign up you’ll pledge to raise £2000 to support our vital work. That could be enough to fund 50 days of lifesaving research, which would go a long way to helping people with lung conditions.
Where is the money raised going?
The money raised by taking part in the London Marathon will help us to continue to fight for lung health. We do this by funding world-leading research to help change millions of lives, providing services that support thousands of people across the country and leading campaigns that help make lasting change.
Ballot places
What is a ballot place?
Some lucky runners who enter the London Marathon ballot will win a place in the 2025 event. You can use that ballot place to support Asthma + Lung UK.
How much is the sign up fee?
It’s FREE to register with a ballot place.
How much do I have to raise?
You won’t have a specific target, we just ask that you raise as much as you can to support our vital work. For instance, £350 could be enough to fund three whole days of lifesaving research!
How do I find out more about the ballot?
