I’m running The Great North Run in the fight for breath!
I have multiple reasons for choosing to run for Asthma + Lung UK. My beloved Grandad passed away in 2020 and suffered for multiple years with COPD and chronic pneumonia. I miss him dearly and know he’ll be cheering me on the whole way. In recent years, I’ve been hospitalised with pneumonia on multiple occasions and also have asthma, taking medication daily which allows me to live my life as normal as possible.
Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with lung disease. I want to make a difference. I'm running The Great North Run for Asthma + Lung UK, the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.
Just £22 could go towards Health Care Advisors and Respiratory Specialists supporting someone with the information they need to live well.

Great North 10k - Done ✅
Monday 8th Jul I never thought at the beginning of the year, while struggling to run for 30 seconds at a time, I would be competing with thousands of other runners. Yesterday I took on the challenge of The Great North 10k and managed to complete this in a time of 1hr 25mins.
