I’m walking to make a difference.
We are taking on this challenge in honour of Brucie, who was a close friend, who sadly passed away in February of 2021 at the age of 16. Brucie had been struggling with asthma for many years prior to his passing, therefore we are supporting this charity to raise awareness of this disease and to help those who, like Brucie, are currently struggling with asthma.
To mark the age that Brucie would have turned this year, we are aiming to hike 20 miles in memory and celebration of him.
Brucie was a sweet and caring person, and was very close with his family. He was a massive Doctor Who and Marvel fan and enjoyed being indoors. Since his favourite colour was purple, we will be wearing purple ribbons to honour him during this challenge.
We were given permission by his family to make this walk happen in his memory.
