I’m running The Great North Run in the fight for breath!
I’ve been diagnosed asthmatic since I was a teenager. I’ve had a number of hospital admissions and I’m now on injection treatment for my asthma. Last year I had my worse attack and for the first time thought asthma could kill me. Thanks to the care I received and the new treatment I’m back on I’m back running.
Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with lung disease. I want to make a difference. I'm running The Great North Run for Asthma + Lung UK, the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.
Just £22 could go towards Health Care Advisors and Respiratory Specialists supporting someone with the information they need to live well.

A little about me
Sunday 28th Apr So I’m off running the Great North Run in September and this year I’m running for asthma and lung uk. I’ve been diagnosed with asthma since my teens and I have severe, chronic allergic asthma. I’ve had a few bad spells over the years but can honestly say this time last year was the worst. I had my first experience were I thought asthma could kill me. It’s given me a kick up the bum and got me running again and I’ve also lost over five stone. Running isn’t easy, I run with my inhaler and will take it during every run but I’m getting stronger and a lot of that is due to the amazing research and new treatments that are available. I take an injection every four weeks for my symptoms aswell as my inhalers and these new treatments have been life changing for me.
