I’m running the London Marathon 2025 to fight for lung health!

Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a lung condition. I want to make a difference. I'm running the London Marathon 2025 for Asthma + Lung UK, the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.

Just £22 allows one of Asthma + Lung UK's nurses to answer a call on the Helpline, offering potentially lifesaving advice. I'd be very grateful for any donations you could make!

Road to London Begins!

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year All!  

Since 2008, I've slowly chipped away at my goal of running all the World Marathon Majors, but sadly stalled out with 3 more to go due to the whims of the lottery gods.  After completing my fourth Chicago marathon in October - my 12th marathon overall and my first marathon 13 months after the birth of my daughter  - I was notified I'd gotten a spot for the London Marathon in April 2025 with the Asthma + Lung UK charity team.  This charity struck a chord with me as I found myself with adult-onset asthma and through running I was able to maintain better breathing capacity. While I'm lucky that my case was not severe, it gave me a deep respect for people who are battling asthma and other lung function disabilities particularly when resources aren't readily available for their treatment. 

The London marathon is one more star on my six-star journey but the biggest challenge of all will be tackling my first winter training cycle and learning what this post-pregnancy running body will give me in this second marathon 6 months apart. So as 2024 draws to a close, the road to the London Marathon 2025 shall begin!
