London Marathon 2025

I’m running the London Marathon 2025 to fight for lung health!

People often innocently assume, because there are so many people diagnosed with asthma, that its an easily managed, very benign condition that isnt thay serious or dangerous. It's not. It's a life-threatening condition that kills an average of 2000 people a year in the UK.

I was diagnosed with asthma as a young child and taking preventative and relieving inhalers, steroid tablets and using a nebuliser has been a part of my life since then. Pollution, changes in weather, infections and allergies all affect me badly.

I began to run regularly in May 2018 again after losing my Mum to COPD - a disease that she lived with for 25 years. She spent the final 6 years of her life on oxygen 24 hours a day and a CPAP machine every night.

I ran the London Marathon for Asthma and Lung UK in 2023 and 2024 and am running for a 3rd year in 2025. It is my mission to raise as much as I can for this amazing charity that helps people like me and my late Mum.

I'm running the London Marathon 2025 for Asthma + Lung UK, the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.

Just £22 allows one of Asthma + Lung UK's nurses to answer a call on the Helpline, offering potentially lifesaving advice. I'd be very grateful for any donations you could make!
