London Marathon 2025

I’m running the London Marathon 2025 to fight for lung health!

Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a lung condition. I want to make a difference. I'm running the London Marathon 2025 for Asthma + Lung UK, the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.

Just £22 allows one of Asthma + Lung UK's nurses to answer a call on the Helpline, offering potentially lifesaving advice. I'd be very grateful for any donations you could make!

My Story 🤍

Sunday 16th Jun

So as some of you may already know, I have suffered with Asthma for as long as I can remember and it’s time to give back to the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe!

With that said…

I am running the TCS London Marathon 2025 and will be raising money for Asthma + Lung UK as part of Team Breathe.

I myself have suffered with asthma since I was a child & another family member suffers also with brittle asthma, this is why I chose to run for Asthma + Lung UK in the London marathon and show that even with a lung condition such as asthma it is possible.

Asthma + Lung UK are doing all they can to improve the lung health of everyone and amongst other things they are aiming to reduce lung related deaths by 20% by 2027. But to do this they need support.

I completed the registration on Friday after applying back in April and now it’s official, I’m entered into the London marathon on the 27th of April 2025.

Being complete honest, I’m not a runner. The most I’ve been able to run before is 5k without stopping but with the right medication I’ve been prescribed with and determination I’m going to smash this not only for myself but for all other asthma sufferers out there and for my two boys to be proud of there daddy.

It’s been a bit of a scary year for myself health wise, just last June I was hospitalised after collapsing in our bathroom, this triggered me to have an asthma attack resulting in nearly a week’s stay in hospital on a nebuliser & oxygen later finding out after a lumbar puncture I had meningitis. I was told by doctors I’d be lucky to do any physical activity for the foreseeable future.

Now not exactly asthma related and only close people are aware of this but I’m going to share with you all my story of the start of this year because it’s important know when somethings not right in your body. While being self employed, running a business and keeping people happy, Myself & family had a huge shock. Between October & March, after countless doctor and hospital appointments. I was fast tracked for cancer screening after certain conditions that were affecting my everyday life. To cut a long story short, a small tumour was found, but because I was quick to notice signs and listen to my body it hadn’t spread to stage 2 or worse. It was removed and no further treatment was needed apart from routine check ups over the foreseeable future.

As I’m running for an amazing charity I need to raise £2000.

Now this isn’t just me asking just for donations, I need help fundraising, people to keep me company on training runs and people to cheer me on along the route next April.

So if you can donate no matter how much, if you can support me, it will be massively appreciated.

I’ll be looking to hold some fundraising events and doing some more posts once I’ve sorted out the details.

I’ll also be creating some social media accounts to document my journey to the London Marathon which I will also need help growing.

Thanks In advance and much love 🤍
