Every minute, someone in the uk is diagnosed with a lung condition. It’s time to make a difference, one step at a time.
In April 2025 I will be running the London Marathon.
My grandad Bernard Norris had a lung condition known as COPD. He was exposed to asbestos during his work as a gas engineer and from this later developed COPD. As years went on his disease progressed and later made him house bound, requiring him to be on an oxygen tank.
Sadly on May 1st of 2024 we said our last goodbye. He was courageous and fought till the very end. It’s tough to say goodbye and it’s hard knowing you won’t see them again. But I will make sure I keep his memory alive and running the marathon for him will be doing just that!
At nearly 80 years of age he was so fit and independent. He wanted to rely on no one. He was a true icon and an old school gentleman. His life will be remembered and memory will forever remain.
I love you grandad, I hope to make you proud 💜🧡
