London Marathon 2025

I’m running the London Marathon 2025 to fight for lung health!

Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a lung condition. I want to make a difference. I'm running the London Marathon 2025 for Asthma + Lung UK, the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.

Just £22 allows one of Asthma + Lung UK's nurses to answer a call on the Helpline, offering potentially lifesaving advice. I'd be very grateful for any donations you could make!

My Reason Why <3

Wednesday 4th Sep

On the 27th of April 2025, I will be running the London Marathon on behalf of Asthma + Lung UK, in loving memory of my best friend and Nan, Patricia Stevens. Pat sadly and unexpectedly passed away on the 15th of December 2022.

My Nanny Pat was a beautiful person inside and out, and she had the kindest soul. She fought hard consistently, and I like to believe that she only left this earth because her kindness and strength was needed else where. She was everything I aspire to be.

She kept smiling even when times were tough, and even when her diagnosed COPD took it out of her some days. Her strength was admirable. She suffered with asthma throughout her life and also had a life-threatening experience, with a collapsed lung in her thirties, which left her hospitalised for quite some time. As Nanny Pat got older, it was hard to watch as she lost breathlessness and became less able to do the things she loved. I hope that taking part in the London Marathon commemorates her life and also helps to raise as much awareness as possible for anyone who struggles with the often overlooked difficulty of living with a lung condition.

My goal is to raise £2000 for Asthma + Lung UK, the only charity in the UK that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. This affects everybody, it happens to as many as 1 in 5 people. That could be me, someone I know, someone I love, someone who’s close to me or someone who’s not. But what matters most, is how we can change this statistic, rather than to support it.

Each donation made will get us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs. And that is my end goal. Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Any donations are hugely appreciated X
