I’m running the London Marathon 2025 to fight for lung health!

Hi everyone! This year, as I hit the big 50 😬 I’m taking on the daunting challenge of the London Marathon 🏃🏻‍♀️, and I need your support!
As someone new to adult asthma, this journey is deeply personal to me. Asthma is surprisingly common in women of my age 🤦‍♀️, often triggered by trauma or illness. For me, it started after a severe case of bronchitis, which took three rounds of antibiotics and one course of steroids to clear. That experience changed my life, but it also made me more determined than ever to fight for better lung health.
Winter is especially hard for asthma sufferers, with cold damp air and increased respiratory challenges making it the toughest time of year. Perfect time to train for the marathon! 🤪 It’s not going to be easy, but I’m taking every step (and every breath) with purpose, knowing I’m raising funds for Asthma + Lung UK, a charity dedicated to helping people like me breathe easier and live better.
