We are running The Great North Run in memory of our mum and dad

Chris and I will be running The Great North Run in September. 

As some of you may know both our parents suffered in some way or form with lung problems. Our mum passed away on January 1st, 2015 with a pulmonary embolism and our dad fought a good fight against COPD and pulmonary fibrosis but passed away on 1st August 2018.

We have seen first-hand how difficult life can be for somebody who relies on oxygen 24 hours a day and how this affects their day-to-day lives. So we would like to support Asthma and Lung UK and the important work that they do to help others.

Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with lung disease. We want to make a difference. Asthma + Lung UK are the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. Every pound we're able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.

Just £22 could go towards Health Care Advisors and Respiratory Specialists supporting someone with the information they need to live well.

Any support would be amazing in our fight for lung health!

Saturday 27th Jul
Our first run together, an easy 10 miles from Porth Penrhyn to Bethesda. It was great to have some company for a change. We've also passed the half way mark with our fundraising. Thank you so much for all your kind donations. We appreciate you all xx

Progress so far.....

Monday 18th Mar
Chris and I have started our training for the Great North Run. We've reached the 10k mark and currently running 15-20 miles each week. We plan to increase our distance every week in preparation for race day, we can't wait!!
