London Marathon 2025

I’m running the London Marathon 2025 to support lung health!

From breathless to boundless - My journey with asthma to the marathon finish line....

As someone who has battled asthma since my teenage years, I know firsthand the challenges of living with a respiratory condition. There was a time when running even 100 meters or climbing a flight of stairs left me gasping for air, my lungs seemingly unable to keep up with my body's demands.

But I refused to let asthma define my limits.

Three years ago, I embarked on a journey that seemed impossible at the time – training for a marathon. It wasn't easy. There were moments of doubt, setbacks, and times when my lungs burned with every step. But with each run, each wheeze, and each small victory, I grew stronger.

This year, I achieved what once seemed unthinkable: I completed my first marathon. But apparently, one wasn't enough for me, so I'm lacing up my shoes again!

I'm running the 2025 London Marathon in support of Asthma + Lung UK. This isn't just about pushing my own boundaries; it's about showing others with respiratory conditions that they too can overcome their perceived limitations.

My journey has taught me that with proper training, dedication, and support, we can improve our lung power and manage breathlessness. It's not about ignoring our condition, but working with it, understanding it, and gradually building our strength and endurance.

To everyone who thinks they can't because of asthma or any other respiratory condition: You can. It might not be easy, and it might not happen overnight, but with the right approach and support, you can achieve more than you ever thought possible.

By supporting my run for Asthma + Lung UK, you're not just helping me cross another finish line. You're supporting vital research, education, and support services that help people with lung conditions breathe easier and live fuller lives.

Together, let's run towards a future where everyone can breathe freely. (Don't worry, I'll do the hard work - you just need to donate! ;)) Your contribution, big or small, can help make that future a reality.

Thank you for your support. Let's do this!
