I’m running the London Marathon 2025 to fight for lung health!
As most of you already know, my son Josh has suffered with asthma since he was a year old. This has resulted in nearly 40 hospital admissions over his 11 years. His latest admission in March this year was his scariest yet and resulted in a change of medication which has thankfully controlled his symptoms and given him much more freedom in his everyday life.
Josh is now involved in the spiromac study which he attends every 3 months. The research provides valuable insights into his lung health using spirometry tests which guides treatment for children with asthma.
It’s through these types of studies and charities like Asthma UK that Josh is able to manage his Asthma and carry on doing the things he loves. So I’ve decided to give something back by running the London Marathon and raising money for this amazing charity.
Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a lung condition. I want to make a difference. I'm running the London Marathon 2025 for Asthma + Lung UK, the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.
Just £22 allows one of Asthma + Lung UK's nurses to answer a call on the Helpline, offering potentially lifesaving advice. I'd be very grateful for any donations you could make!
