London Marathon 2025

I’m running the London Marathon 2025 to fight for lung health!

Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a lung condition. I want to make a difference. Assuming the training doesn’t kill me, I'm running the London Marathon 2025 for Asthma + Lung UK, the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe.

For those that don't know, I had childhood asthma and suffered a particularly bad spell for about a year when I was 15/16. I've been fortunate enough to have mostly grown out of it since, but it left a lasting impact; long after we had found the right mix and dosage of medication I continued to have panic attacks, such that for a while I couldn't distinguish between the two. It stopped me playing sports, the thing I loved most at that time, it disrupted my attendance at school, and for a while it made me terrified (at 16!!) to be away from my mum.

Years later, I still recall the scary lack of understanding of the people I was surrounded by of the danger that can come with a severe asthma attack, with many not realising that they can be deadly.

The work that Asthma + Lung UK does is vital in improving research and treatment, but also crucial in educating and spreading awareness of the risks of asthma and other lung related conditions.

Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs! I'd be very grateful for any donations you could make!
