I’m running the London Marathon 2025 in memory of Dad!
In 2021, my dad was diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), the most common form of pulmonary fibrosis, which causes lung scarring and breathing difficulties. Sadly, he passed away suddenly in October 2023. This progressive condition has no cure, as the scar tissue can't be repaired by the body or drugs. Asthma + Lung UK offers support and information for those diagnosed with IPF.
In my dad's memory, I'm running the 2025 London Marathon for Asthma + Lung UK. Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a lung condition. Dad, like many others, struggled to understand why his lungs failed him so drastically, and as his family, we are still grappling with the sudden loss caused by this disease.
Your donations, big or small, will support this remarkable charity dedicated to aiding those affected by this life-limiting disease, and striving to find a cure for pulmonary fibrosis, ensuring a brighter future for everyone affected. Just £22 funds a nurse to provide potentially lifesaving advice on their Helpline. Any contribution would be deeply appreciated. Please help me support their crucial work.
