I’m running the London Marathon 2025 *Gulp*
Asthma is a condition close to my heart (literally), I was never sure I would be able to run a marathon and in 2025 I will be able to put that to the test!
Most people who know me will confirm 2 things:
1. I am an asthmatic (gasps for air)
2. I am not very good at sports.
These two things naturally go hand in hand when trying to run a marathon. These, coupled with my lack of drive to train and my general hatred of exercise probably don't set me out on a great footing.
Seriously, Asthma is a horrible disease that affects millions across the UK. I myself have struggled with asthma since the age of 3. Struggling to keep up in sports and permanent tightness in my chest is nothing when compared to the panic of being unable to breathe. This feeling is something which affects children and adults alike across the UK and I can say is a horrible feeling and horrible to witness.
Asthma UK carries out incredible work and research which is crucial to the management and ultimately finding a cure for this horrible disease.
Every donation helps fund this incredible cause and ultimately will make me feel like I need to go out and do some training! If nothing else come down in April and watch me struggle round London!
