I’m running the London Marathon 2025 to fight for lung health!
In my much younger days, Asthma would hold me back from attempting to explore intense physical activity. Cross country at high school, Track and Field at middle school, even running for the bus with friends - I simply couldn't fathom it. As I grew up, I tried my best to ignore Asthma in the hope that I could just get on with my life, ignoring triggers and symptoms and thinking I was in complete control, when really, I wasn't. In my third year of university, I had a panic attack combined with asthma attack on a night out. Genuinely one of the scariest moments of my life. All because I failed to take care of my lungs.
Since then, I've lost weight, and grown confidence from using an inhaler, and taken up running. Running and asthma is not something that typically goes hand in hand, but why should that stop anyone.
I'm running the London Marathon 2025 for Asthma + Lung UK, the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe - and hope to raise awareness for not only all the asthmatics around, but those in need of some help with their lungs, anyone who's ever needed help, or anyone that can support.
