I’m walking to make a real difference.
My name is Teresa Perrett and my son in law, Alan Crabb, and I are walking to raise money for Asthma + Lung UK. We are walking the Isle of wight 106km Challenge on the 29th and 30th of April 2023. I have suffered with asthma since I was a child and I was diagnosed with Cronic obstructive pulmonary disease around 5 years ago. COPD refers to a group of diseases that cause airflow blockage and breathing-related problems. It includes emphysema and chronic bronchitis. COPD makes breathing difficult for millions of people who have this disease. Millions more people suffer from COPD, but have not been diagnosed and are not being treated.
Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a lung condition. Every pound I raise takes us closer to a world where everyone breathes clean air with healthy lungs.
Just £22 allows one of Asthma + Lung UK's nurses to answer a call on the Helpline, offering potentially lifesaving advice to someone in need.
