I’m running the Royal Parks Half Marathon in the fight for breath
Thank you for visiting my page!
I know what you're thinking: 'Who would willingly run a half marathon?' Well, apparently I would! This is not for my own personal glory - anyone who has known me for a while knows running does not come naturally to me! I'm doing this for a cause that's incredibly important to me. COPD was a constant struggle for my dad, and it was heart breaking to see him suffer every day for years and this had such an effect on my family - especially my mum. My dear friend Carroll has also been effected and keeps moving forward no matter what! What they have both taught me is breathing without difficulty is something we should ALL be able to do without struggling and more funding is needed to help research which will enable this. That's why I'm running the Royal Parks Half Marathon for Asthma + Lung UK, the only charity in the UK that fights for everyone's right to breathe.
Now, I'm not exactly Paula Radcliffe, but every step I take and every pound I raise will help bring us closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs. And who knows? Maybe by the time I cross the finish line, I'll have developed some killer calf muscles!
But in all seriousness, this cause is near and dear to my heart, and I would be over the moon if you could help support me in this endeavour. Even the smallest donation can make a big impact. So let's breathe life into this cause and show lung diseases who's boss!"
Thank you
Kerrie ❤️

Tuesday 3rd Oct Hi All, first of all a massive thank you to everyone who has sponsored me! Some of you know I have picked up a knee injury in training but I am determined to get around the course on Sunday. The knees will be taped up! And hopefully will last the course🤞🏻 Share10 days to go….
Thursday 28th Sep Just a little update, I’ve run a few 10mile runs and keep picking up injuries. Sunday 14th May For anyone that is looking at my link, I promise you running is not an easy thing for me. I’ve not been enjoying running recently and can’t get further than 2 miles at the moment no matter how much i push my body just won’t go further. So thanks to my wonderful friends who are on this journey with me raising money for other charities I thought I would reframe my training. Im determined to success to raise and much money as possible for this amazing charity and I have to stop saying what can I do when life gives you limited time to train. I decided I can manage a mile a day.. and to make it count focus on speed … day 2 of new routine and it’s working as I’m looking forward to my next run for the first time in 3 months!!! And I’ve run a mile in 10.04 minutes 😁 ShareFirst 8 miles… ever

Dearest Kerrie I am so proud of your tireless efforts in raising money for such important causes. Lung Disease affects more people in this country than we realise, in particular children, suffering from environmental induced respiratory disease. I would like to personally thank you for being such a dear friend and for your support in my own journey, I appreciate you.
