I’m running London Landmarks in the fight for breath!

Did you know that in the UK, 7.2 million people have asthma, every minute someone is diagnosed with a lung disease and sadly 4 people die every day because of an asthma attack.  These stats are shocking, I want to make a difference.

I'm running London Landmarks for Asthma + Lung UK, the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.

I was diagnosed with asthma at the age of 5, needing hospital treatment frequently as a child struggling to breathe was pretty terrifying. Since then I take 3 inhalers daily.  In 2023, I suffered severe asthma, around 4 in 100 with asthma are diagnosed with severe asthma making it difficult to control.  The treatment involves regular injections (biological therapies) to help manage my symptoms and thankfully these have made a significant difference, I will take these injections for the rest of my life, I am so grateful for all the research and the support of my family, friends and hospital staff. 

This will be my first half marathon, running has become part of my fitness journey, running with asthma can be challenging at times, I am determined to strengthen my lungs and support others suffering with lung conditions. 

Just £22 could go towards Health Care Advisors and Respiratory Specialists supporting someone with the information they need to live well.

I received this charity place fairly  last minute, with not much time to train for it and recovering from a knee injury, I am so thankful for the place and will give it my all on the day for this amazing charity.  I would be grateful for any donations you could make to help fight for lung health!
