I’m running The Great North Run in the fight for breath!
In November of 2024 my grandad passed away far sooner than we had expected. He suffered with COPD for around 26 years, having being diagnosed not long after his retirement from the pottery industry. In the UK there are 1.3 million people with a diagnosis of COPD, a truly staggering number. Grandad received support with his condition, part of which was through work by Asthma and Lung UK. COPD is not a curable disease and so ongoing support is vital to minimise the struggle as much as possible. My grandad was an amazing man and so I will be taking part in The Great North Run in his memory for Asthma and Lung UK. Please donate what you can to support the work of this amazing charity. Everyone deserves to have healthy lungs.
Just £22 could go towards Health Care Advisors and Respiratory Specialists supporting someone with the information they need to live well.
