I’m running the Royal Parks Half Marathon in the fight for breath!
I’m running the Royal Parks half to raise vital funds for research into lung disease. My wife’s dad suffered for a short time from pulmonary thrombosis before his death. Ian was more than a father in law, he was an example of how to live. He loved openly and genuinely sought to encourage and help basically everyone he met. If you needed a blue print of how to be a decent husband, dad and friend - Ian was it. This is the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.
Just £22 allows one of Asthma + Lung UK's nurses to answer a call on the Helpline, offering potentially lifesaving advice. I'd be very grateful for any donations you could make!

Sunday 8th Oct A long time , some cold n flu and some overwhelmed tears but it’s done. Thank you so much to everyone who’s donated so far. It speaks volumes on what a character Ian was and what a great bunch of people Lucy was brought up around and has since become close friends with.
Injuries and disruption!
Sunday 1st Oct Been a bleak few weeks training wise. Had a wonderful trail run but then suffered from shin splints for a few weeks.
