I’m running the Royal Parks Half Marathon in memory of my Dad.

As many of you know my Dad died 18 months ago, he was diagnosed with severe asthma at the age of 35, he fought the disease, along with COPD for nearly 40 years, Asthma and the effects have been a huge part of my life, my Dad was not expected to live the long life he did and this was down to his sheer determination and the ever changing medical advances that had been made in those 40 years that kept him alive for so long.

I have wanted to do something to really challenge myself and raise money to help fund research and support families like ours. So others loved ones can have a chance of a longer life.

Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with lung disease. I want to make a difference. I'm running the Royal Parks Half Marathon for Asthma + Lung UK, Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.
