I’m running the London Marathon 2026 to fight for lung health!
I will be running the London Marathon 2026, for Asthma + Lung UK in memory of my Grandad. Asmtha + Lung UK were the parent charity that helped to support my Grandad whilst he battled cancer.
In approximately 2015, my Grandad was diagnosed with mesothelioma (cancer of the lung likely to be caused by asbestos). My Grandad battled cancer for 5 years and after several rounds of chemotherapy and multiple treatments, he passed away in 2020.
My Grandad is still greatly missed by my family and I, and we miss him everyday. Even whilst going through his treatments he still always had time for his family and always made us smile.
Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a lung condition. Asthma + Lung UK are the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.
